This sample shows events added by users. In grid above upcoming events are displayed (events that starts today or in the future). Use First filter to display all events or today's events only. Date of today's events is colored red. By clicking on title link or detail view icon details of selected event are displayed. By clicking on Location Google maps are opened for current location.
When creating events, grid above should be visible to all users. First grid below should be visible to Registered users only. This grid allows users to add new events. It has built-in calendar for dates and predefined values for event's starting time. Title, Location, Starting date and Entrance fee are mandatory fields. Every time user adds new event, mail with summary of data entered is sent to mail specified within the grid. User's ID (of the author) and date of insertion are automatically added to the record.
At the bottom of this page is grid that allows us to manage events. This grid should be visible to administrators only. You should customize its design later.
